The parking situation at this plaza kinda sucks. It fills up way too quick with so many restaurants. There is a multi-storey parking garage on the west end that you can attempt to find a spot in though.

The first time I ate at this restaurant it was with a group of people and we ordered the strawberry golden toast. I remember the crust of the toast was extremely hard and dry. It definitely took away the overall enjoyment of the toast.

This time we ordered the pork omurice and spicy pork bibimbap from the lunch menu. Both of these dishes come with a drink so we got the cold honey green tea and the hot black milk tea with less sugar. I have not had omurice before but I felt that the egg was smooth, a good thickness and wrapped the rice so well. The rice itself was flavourful and the curry only had a hint of spice. There was the hot pepper on the menu so I was a tad worried that I wouldn't be able to handle it but I was fine.

I found that service was standard Asian restaurant level. It was not outstanding but definitely not poor in any way. Seating is fairly close so you unquestionably hear the conversation at the next table.

We were actually leaving an establishment nearby when we walked past a rather extensive and interesting menu at Petit Potato. I was set on coming back to try it.

I think this place could be described as an Asian "inclusion" place. They have stuff from everywhere - from Taiwanese desserts and snack foods, to Korean bibimbap, to Cantonese herbal soup bowls. There was a ton to decide from.

We were there at lunch and the specials are usually an entree that you can find on the menu with the addition of your choice of drink, either cold honey lemon tea or a hot Japanese style milk tea. There were 3 of us and we ordered the black truffle spaghetti with mushroom (not sure which Asian culture this falls in under) and the chicken omurice to split. We also got an order of the fried chicken cartilage.

The cartilage looks deceptively like popcorn chicken but is well, cartilage. I wasn't a huge fan of that but the rest of my party member was. Some of the pieces can be a little hard and I don't think you're actually supposed to chew through it. In fact on the little order slip, it said "chicken knees" so I feel like the parts that are more bone-ish could break your teeth. Anyways, the omurice came out next and was topped with chicken katsu and a curry sauce. The sauce was pretty flavorful and the rice was a bit elevated from just being plain rice inside. I thought it was decent.

So this doesn't sound like a 5-star rating yet but the spaghetti was to die for. It was the epitome of savory umami goodness. The amount of truffle they used was just perfect. The aroma was wafting off but when you ate it, it wasn't overpowering at all. The pasta was also al dente to perfection. I absolutely didn't need to eat the whole dish in this sitting since we had a lot of food but I couldn't stop eating it. Another huge standout was that they actually have souffle pancakes! The only times I've had access to souffle pancakes were at food truck type festivals and tiny stands where the wait is always 1hr+ (or they stop taking orders because the wait is too ridiculous) and you're just standing around waiting for it. This was wonderfully light, airy, and fluffy pancakes delivered right to your table! We opted for the mango ones which came with a lot of mango on the side.

The last dish was a late add on and one of the Taiwanese desserts. It's a bunch of stuff like tapioca, taro, mochi in a sugar syrup. It's really not my thing but the other people I was with really enjoyed it. Also just a note that the orange things were also mochi and not sweet potato. That was a surprise when I bit into it.

The service was pretty good as we had a lot of different things to eat and the server came by to give us fresh plates before the desserts. There was a lot of comfortable seating and the restaurant had a nice ambiance all around. The only thing is that the parking might be limited in the immediate vicinity right outside the place but if you're willing to walk, there is also a structure.

Came here for lunch on Monday with 2 other friends! We arrived at about 3pm and we all noticed how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere to dine in was. The interior design is super cute and makes you feel comfortable and their seating is also very nice!

My friends and I each got different dishes. One of my friends and I opted for a lunch special -- I chose the salmon fettuccine with tomato sauce whereas my friend got the black garlic pork ramen. The lunch specials both came with a free drink included which you can choose between a hot or a cold option. My friend got the hot black milk tea and I got the cold honey green tea. My other friend just opted for a dish from the main menu rather than one of the lunch specials -- she got the sliced beef teppan pepper pasta. I really liked both my dish and my drink was very refreshing and not heavy after the fulfilling fettuccine! My friend was not a fan of her hot black milk tea -- she found it way too sweet and I tasted it and felt the same. However the server did ask my friend if she wanted regular sugar so I feel like if my friend had said no instead of yes or chosen a different sugar level (if that's possible?) she would have liked her drink way more! We all really enjoyed our dishes and would all come back to try more from the menu! The one downside to my dish was that the salmon kept sticking to the hot plate so it took me a while to completely remove it in order to taste it!

The reason for deducting a star would be for the lack of contact between the server and customers -- our server wasn't very talkative and just sat us down, gave us the menu, came afterwards to pick up our order and then just handed us our food when it was ready. There was no check-ins to see if the food was okay thus making the interaction feel quite distanced and cold. However, the meal was still absolutely lovely and we would all love to come back to Petit Potato!

Recently saw that they updated their menu so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Deep Fried Milk, Matcha Molten Lava Cake and the Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie. The deep fried milk was decent however the outer "crispy" shell was completely soggy and not crispy at all. The lava cake takes about 30 mins to make, however when we received it, it was completely cold.. Finally, the smoothy was absolutely bland and tasted like ice water.

I was not hungry when I stepped in Petit Potato with a group of friends. I decided on just getting their black milk tea with tapioca. I asked for it to be extra delicious ;) but I was sorely disappointed that they forgot to add that to my drink. My milk tea was bland and the tapioca was flavourless and rubbery. They were clumpy and stuck together so it was hard to drink.

Note: I'm strictly basing my review on my milk tea. I'm fully aware that Petit Potato has a wide selection of foods to purchase. I tried elements of other people's food but I do not feel comfortable to review them. Next time, I will come back with an empty stomach so I can provide a more detailed review on their menu. Stay tuned!
